Mr Brown: These people are taxed on the tips they make. When you stiff 'em, you cost them money.
Mr. Blonde: Waitressing is the number one occupation for female non-college graduates in this country. It's the one job basically any woman can get, and make a living on. The reason is because of tips.
Mr. Pink: F@#k all that.
Got any Mr. Pinks in your crew? Is someone always getting up as soon as the check is dropped, grabbing it, pretending to do some quick math in their head, dropping a wad of crumpled bills and then taking off? And is their tip always short? Probably.
Global Tip Calculator fixes that problem better than any other tip calculator I've found in the App Store. While most other tip calculators offer 10%, 15% and 20% tallies for tips, Global Tip Calculator takes it a few steps further. IIt is designed to get as specific as possible on tip percentages for groups of up to 99 people.
The app has a slick interface. It utilizes two of the most endearing features on the iPhone, the slide bar and the selection wheel. By entering the exact number of the total bill in the numerical keyboard, sliding the bar through the percentages, and selecting how many people are in your group, you can get exact tip percentages for every possible combination of the above as possible. If you want to be like a hyper-critical Russian judge at an Olympic skating final, you can give a tip of 12%, or 17%, or 26%.
What I like about the app is it offers not only the tip amount and the total bill amount, it also offers what each person pays in total for their meal. That way any Mr. Pinks out there, or "early risers" get pegged with exactly what they owe down to the penny.
So dish out the $0.99 cents for Global tip calculator, the undisputed champ of App Store tip calculators. Make sure you take care of all of those waiters and waitresses and other service industry people out there, because yes indeed, they do live on their tips.
