Cassandra is another fresh take on puzzle games. It doesn't stay with one game type, rather it has numerous puzzle games all wrapped into one that are geared towards finding a final answer. Follow a path of clues as you work your way to towards solving the mysteries of Cassandra's magical family.

When I first fired up Cassandra's Journey I was a little unimpressed with the simplicity of a hidden object game. But then I cleared a level and moved to a card game, and when I cleared that level I came to a match 3 game, then a word game, and when I cleared that level I came to a magic trick. All the while I was compiling clues and keys to unlock my way through the game. I was win over quickly. As the ultimate test I gave the game to my 9 year old to gave it a run through. She is an old hand at hidden object games, and was immediately captivated. When she picks up my phone she goes right for Cassandra's Journey every time.

Cassandra's Journey is fairly large for an iPhone game at 25.2 MB. Every Mb is put to good use. The game contains 30 levels that can take multiple attempts to clear and move on from, offering long term playability. The flow from one game type to another within the overall framework is smooth and makes sense. The graphics are intricate and really set a tone for the game. The new age soundtrack is ok at first, but eventually the repetition gets tiring and fairly annoying. It can be turned off and you can liven things up by heading to your iTunes playlists, but I think a good soundtrack is crucial to long term usability of any game, however that is Cassandra's only weakness.

You won't get tired of Cassandra's Journey and you will be able to put it down and come back to it over and over. It's a great relaxing, thinking game. The game is low-premium priced well at $1.99. It offers way more playability than most puzzle games and also offers far more variety, so I think it's a bargain well worth springing for.
