The iPhone is not just a communication/gaming/entertainment device, it does so much more. One of the very simplest things it does is act as a depository for very specific information. TTL Pinout is one of those information storing apps, a full on library of 197 of pinout for the most popular TTL chips in use.
If you are not a total electronics geek or a techie this app is not one that you will understand or need. I however would have killed for this app when I was still just a lowly tech guy running around town frantically fixing things of various complexity and struggling with reference manuals or shooting for lucky guesses on things like the connection point layouts of different cables and contact-to-function connections.
TTL Pinout is a blessing for all you techie people who have to either see the inside of your electronics or who obsessively try to build new ones or resurrect old ones. When faced with crucial connections you no longer have to waste time with reference manuals or suffer damaging your projects, just pull out your iPhone and scroll through the list on TLL Pinouts, find your layout and proceed confidently. The app gives a great diagram for every listing, follow them confidently instead of fretting and hoping for the best.
Not technically inclined? Get a fart app. Like to scrounge round in the guts of electronics? This app is priceless. If it saves you one failed connection then it is worth its weight in gold and the $0.99 price is meaningless.
